Here’s what to do before preparing for your Thanksgiving meal:
- Thoroughly clean the house top to bottom.
- Seal any entry points to the exterior.
- Keep trash sealed as you cook and prep dishes, taking the bags out frequently.
- Clean as you go; saving all the cleaning for when you’re done will only require more work, time, and energy.
- Wipe down all countertops; don’t leave dirty dishes in the sink.
During Thanksgiving
- Cover all dishes before eating, especially if eating outdoors.
- Limit the areas where dining will occur, such as the dining room or kitchen. This will lessen the number of places where crumbs and spills can happen.
- Clean up spills as they occur so they don’t spread or become forgotten.
After Thanksgiving
